Paper jams

Did the jam occur in the paper support?

Have the All-In-One automatically eject the jammed paper by pressing and holding Select.

If the All-In-One does not eject the paper, manually remove the paper.

  1. Lift the scanner unit open, firmly grasp the paper, and gently pull it from the All-In-One.
  2. Close the scanner unit.
  3. Press Select to cycle power and continue printing.

Did the jam occur far into the All-In-One?

Turn the power off. Open the scanner unit, and gently pull the paper out.

Does paper keep jamming in the All-In-One?

  1. Make sure you are using paper designed for an inkjet printer.
  2. Load paper correctly. For more information, see Loading paper.

Are you printing a banner?

  • Make sure you choose A4 Banner or Letter Banner from the "Paper Size" pop-up menu.
  • Use only the number of sheets (up to 10 sheets) needed for the banner.

Paper misfeeds, skews, or multiple sheets feed

Is the paper loaded correctly?

Are you using paper recommended for the All-In-One?

Make sure you are using paper designed for an inkjet printer. Follow the instructions in Loading paper for the paper type.

Are you printing more than one page at a time?

Try loading a smaller amount of paper in the All-In-One. For more information, see Paper support.

Is the paper wrinkled?

Use a new piece of paper that is straight and unwrinkled.

Paper and specialty media stick together

Are you printing more than one page at a time?

Are the pages sticking together on the paper exit tray?

Remove each page as it exits the All-In-One, and let it dry completely before stacking. For the quantity of various paper types the paper exit tray can hold, see Paper exit tray.

Are you using paper or specialty media recommended for the All-In-One?

Make sure you are using paper designed for an inkjet printer.
