Performing basic scanning tasks
From the control panel
- Load an original document on the scanner glass.
- Press Mode until the Scan light comes on.
- Use the left (-) and right (+) arrows to scroll to the application where you want to send the scanned image. Press Select.
- Press Color or Black.
Depending on the setting in the Lexmark 4300 Series Center Preferences, the scanned image is sent either to the Scan dialog or to your selected application for viewing and editing.
From the Lexmark 4300 Series Center
- Load an original document on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
- Select the Scan tab. Adjust the scan settings as needed.
- Click Scan to scan the document, or click Preview/Edit to open the Scan dialog for more scanning options.
