Descreening

With the Descreen function of the All-In-One, you can get clear scanned images from magazines, newspapers, and other documents. Descreening is the process of removing wavy patterns from scanned images.

  1. Load an original document on the scanner glass.
  2. Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
  3. Select the Scan tab and customize the settings.
  4. Click Preview/Edit to open the Scan dialog.
  5. From the Settings tab, select Custom Settings.
  6. From the "Descreen Magazine or Newspaper" pop-up menu, choose Photo, Text, Art Print, Magazine, Newspaper, or None.
  7. Click Scan.
