Sharpening an image

When printing

1. From the software application, choose File  Print. The Print dialog appears.
2. From the third pop-up menu from the top, choose Advanced Options.
3. To sharpen the image manually, clear Automatic Image Sharpening. The slider bar is turned on.

   Note:

   Automatic Image Sharpening is checked by default. This function lets the software do the image sharpening for you.

4. Choose from None to Most.

When scanning or copying

1. Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
2. From either the Scan tab or the Copy tab, click Preview/Edit to open the Scan dialog or the Copy dialog.
3. Select the Adjustments tab.
4. From the Blur/Sharpen area, move the slider to adjust the level of sharpness of the scanned or copied image.
