Enhancing photo print quality when scanning
- Open the Lexmark 3300 Series Center.
- Select the Scan tab.
- From the "What is being scanned?" menu, select Photo.
- From the "How will the scanned image be used?" pop-up menu, choose To be printed or To be viewed on monitor/Web page. Photo scanning is optimized based on this selection.
- Click Preview/Edit to go to the Scan dialog to fine-tune the scan settings.
- From the Settings tab:
- Select one of the preset scan settings appropriate for the photo: Color Photo - Print, Color Photo - Web, or Black and White Photo.
- Create a custom setting by adjusting the color depth and resolution, and then choosing a descreen option.
- From the Adjustments tab:
- Adjust the brightness
- Adjust the contrast
- Adjust the gamma (color correction curve)
- Sharpen the image
