Enhance photograph print quality
Follow these basic guidelines to print high-quality photos from your All-In- One:
- Use photo paper. You can dramatically improve printout quality with the use of specialty photo paper. Look for photo paper brands made for inkjet printing:
- Inkjet photo paper. Provides photographic quality reproduction of illustrations, scanned images, and digital photography.
- High resolution inkjet paper. Excellent for reproduction of images and graphics. A special coating provides vivid, sharp output.
- Use a photo cartridge. Go to Print cartridges.
- Maximize the settings in your software application to obtain the highest photo print quality.
To enhance photograph print quality from the Print dialog for basic printing jobs:
- From the software application, click File Print.
- From the pop-up menu in the upper left corner, choose Quality & Media.
- From Paper Type, select Glossy/Photo.
- From Print Quality, select Photo.
To enhance photograph print quality from the Lexmark All-In-One Center for scanning and copying jobs:
- Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.

The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.
- If you are copying, select the Copy tab.
- From Copy Quality, select Photo.
- From Output Paper Type, choose Glossy/Photo.
- Click Preview to fine-tune your copy settings. Go to the Copy dialog for details.
- If you are scanning, select the Scan tab.
- From the What is being scanned? pop-up menu, select Photo.
- From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, choose To be printed or Viewed on-screen/Web page. Photo scanning is optimized based on this selection.
- Click Preview.
- From the Settings tab, make sure you select one of the preset scan settings appropriate for your photo:
- Color Photo - Print
- Color Photo - Web
- Black and White Photo

Or, you can customize your scan settings by adjusting color depth, resolution, and choosing a descreen option.
- Select the Adjustments tab and fine-tune your scan settings. Go to Scan tab for details.
