Error messages and flashing lights

If possible, correct the condition explained in the error message.

What it indicates

Solution

Ink Low

The print cartridge is running out of ink. The Ink Low warning occurs when your cartridges are about 25% full, 15% full, and 5% full.

Replace the print cartridge. Go to Remove a used cartridge and Install the print cartridges.

Paper jam

There is a paper jam.

Clear the paper jam. Go to Jams and misfeeds.

Paper out

The All-In-One is out of paper. Load paper then press Select appears on the control panel display.

  • Load more paper. Press Select to load the paper and continue printing.
  • Press Stop/Clear on the control panel to cancel printing. Load paper and then resume your print job.

Power light blinks twice

The print cartridge carrier may be stalled.

Turn the All-In-One off, wait a few seconds, and then turn the All-In-One on.

Disk is full error

Your scan has taken a large amount of system memory.

  • As you scan, pay attention to the file size display on the Scan dialog to monitor your file size.
  • Close all unused documents and applications.
  • Delete old scans or files that you no longer need to free up disk space.
  • Consider purchasing a larger hard disk drive.

File is too large error

You have exceeded the amount of data a scan file can hold.

Your All-In-One can scan up to 9600 dpi, so it is possible to exceed the amount of data a file can hold. If you receive this error, you must reduce the resolution, color depth, or crop area. Adjust the settings in the Scan dialog.

Out of memory error

Your scan has taken a large amount of system memory.

  • Close all unused documents and applications.
  • Consider purchasing more memory for your computer. This can significantly improve scanning and overall system performance.
