Scan a portion of an image

Scan certain portions of an image or a document using the cropping function on the Scan dialog. This option is good for scanning logos, parts of a magazine page, or sections of a photo.

1. Load original documents on the scanner glass.
2. Open the Lexmark 6200 Series Center.
3. Click Preview.... Your original is scanned, and the Scan dialog appears.
4. Follow the instructions in Crop photos using Auto-crop and Crop photos manually to scan only a selected portion of your image or document.

The cropped image is saved to File or sent to your favorite application for editing.
