Scan your document to send as fax
Get your All-In-One ready to fax first, and then:
- Load original documents on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 6200 Series Center.
- From the Device pop-up menu, select Lexmark 6200 Series.

The Device pop-up menu is available only when several All-In-Ones are installed on your computer. |
- Select the Scan tab.
- From the What is being scanned? menu, select the type of document you are faxing.
- From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, choose To fax.

The fax setting uses a 150 dpi, 8-bit grayscale scanning mode. If your fax application supports a higher or lower setting than this, click Preview... to adjust the dpi and color depth. |
- From the Send scanned images to: pop-up menu, choose a fax application.
- If you have multiple pages to scan, select Prompt for multiple pages.
- Click Scan. To fax your scanned document, follow the instructions in your fax application. Refer to your fax application documentation for more information.
Mac OS X v10.3 Panther
Mac OS X v10.3 Panther provides an Apple-implemented fax system which is independent from your Lexmark 6200 Series. To send a fax in Panther, go to Use the Apple fax application.
