Configure a network printer
You can set the IP address of a printer attached to a network either through a built-in factory installed network interface (available on some specific printers), or through a print server.

If the printer has been previously configured, it can be used without being reconfigured provided no one else is currently using that same IP address. |
To configure your printer using the Printer Selection dialog:
- Open the Lexmark P910 Series Utility.
- From the menu bar, choose Advanced to display the Advanced menu.
- Choose Select Printer... . The Printer Selection dialog appears.
- Select your printer from the list, and then click Configure... . The Configure Network Printer dialog appears.
- Assign an IP address to your network printer. Contact your network administrator for more information.
- Click OK to go back to the Printer Selection dialog.
- Select your printer from the list on the Printer Selection dialog.
- Click Select.
To configure your printer using the Configure Network Printer dialog:
- Open the Lexmark P910 Series Utility.
- From the menu bar, choose Advanced to display the Advanced menu.
- Choose Network Printer Configuration... . The Network Printer Configuration dialog appears.
- Select your printer from the list, and then click Configure... . The Configure Network Printer dialog appears.
- Assign an IP address to your network printer. Contact your network administrator for more information.
- Click OK to go back to the Network Printer Configuration dialog.
- Select a printer from the list on the Printer Selection dialog if you want to configure another printer. Otherwise, click Done.
