Save a scanned item

You can store your scanned image on your hard disk drive or in any storage media for future use. To save a scanned item:

  1. Load originals on the scanner glass.
  2. Open the Lexmark 2200 Series Center.
  3. Select the Scan tab.
  4. From the What is being scanned? area, choose the type of image that you are scanning.
  5. From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, select how you will use the image.
  6. From the Send scanned images to: pop-up menu, select an application through which to save your scanned images.
  7. Select Prompt for multiple pages if you want to Scan multiple items before sending to an application.
  8. Click Scan.
  9. From your software application, choose File  Save As... .
  10. On the Save dialog, enter the file name, the format (if prompted), and the location where you want your scanned image to be saved. Click the down arrow next to the Where: pop-up menu to expand the directory structure view or create a new folder, if needed.
  11. Click Save. Your scanned images are stored and ready for future use.
