Scan multiple items before sending to an application
You can scan several documents or photographs before opening them on an application for editing. This is useful when you are using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) feature of your All-In-One to edit a multiple page document. To scan multiple items before sending them to an application:
- Load original on scanner glass. For help, Load originals on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 2200 Series Center.
- From the Device: pop-up menu, choose Lexmark 2200 Series. The Device: pop-up menu is available only when several All-In-Ones are installed on your computer.
- Select the Scan tab.
- From the What is being scanned? area, select the type of image you are scanning.
- From the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu, choose To be printed, View on-screen/Web page, or To edit text (OCR). Choosing To fax will initiate the fax function of your All-In-One.
- From the Send scanned images to: pop-up menu, choose the application on which you want to open your scanned document or image. For help on how to add applications to this list, see Application List Setup.
- Select the Prompt for multiple pages check box.
- Click the Scan button.
- When prompted, place the next item on the scanner and click Scan on the dialog. Continue doing this until you have finished scanning all your items.
- Click Done on the dialog to open the scanned images in your software application.
