Scan items directly to an application
Your All-In-One software includes a TWAIN plug-in driver that lets you to scan images directly to many applications. This is helpful when you want to edit your document or photographs before saving or printing them.
You can scan images directly to an application using the Lexmark 2200 Series Center or by launching the TWAIN function of that application.

Your applications must support TWAIN plug-in driver version 1.9 or later for you to be able to send scanned images to them. Refer to your application documentation on how to check the TWAIN plug-in driver version, or how to update the TWAIN plug-in driver. |
To scan items directly to an application using the Lexmark 2200 Series Center:
- Load originals on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 2200 Series Center.
- Select the Scan tab.
- From the What is being scanned? area, choose the type of image that you are scanning.
- Select an option from the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu.
- From the Send scanned images to: pop-up menu, choose the application on which you want to open your scanned document or image. For help on how to add applications to this list, see Application List Setup.
- Click Scan. The scanned image opens in the application you chose.
To scan items using the TWAIN function of your application:
- Load originals on the scanner glass.
- Open your TWAIN-compliant application.
- Launch the TWAIN function of your application.
- Follow the instructions on your screen to scan the image. If prompted, choose Lexmark 2200 Series from the scanner list or image source list.

- Your All-In-One scans the image, and the scanned image opens in your application.
