Adjusting color settings when copying
Instead of using the automatic settings, you can manually adjust the color settings for optimum color output.
- Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
- From the Copy tab, click Preview/Edit to open the Copy dialog.
- From the Settings tab:
- From the Quantity & Copy Type area, select Color for all color documents and images, Grayscale for black-and-white images, and Black for text-only documents.
- Descreen.
- Reduce background noise, if needed. Select Reduce Background Noise, and move the slider to adjust the level of noise reduction.

          | Note: | The noise reduction option is only enabled when copying or scanning color documents. |
- From the Adjustments tab:
- Adjust the brightness, contrast, and gamma (color correction curve).
- Sharpen the image.
- Invert colors.
