Adjusting color settings when copying

Instead of using the automatic settings, you can manually adjust the color settings for optimum color output.

1. Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
2. From the Copy tab, click Preview/Edit to open the Copy dialog.
3. From the Settings tab:
   • From the Quantity & Copy Type area, select Color for all color documents and images, Grayscale for black-and-white images, and Black for text-only documents.
   • Descreen.
   • Reduce background noise, if needed. Select Reduce Background Noise, and move the slider to adjust the level of noise reduction.

   Note:

   The noise reduction option is only enabled when copying or scanning color documents.

4. From the Adjustments tab:
   • Adjust the brightness, contrast, and gamma (color correction curve).
   • Sharpen the image.
   • Invert colors.
