Configuring a network printer

You can set the IP address of a printer attached to a network either through a built-in, factory-installed network interface (available on some specific printers), or through an optional external network adapter.

Note: If the printer has been previously configured, it can be used without being reconfigured provided no one else is currently using that same IP address.

  2. From the menu bar, choose Advanced. The Advanced menu appears.
  3. Choose Select Printer. The Printer Selection dialog appears.
