Assigning an IP address

If the All-In-One is listed as unconfigured in the Printer Selection dialog or the Network Printer Configuration dialog, you must assign it an IP address on the print server or network adapter. To assign an IP address, and set up the All-In-One as a network printer:

  1. Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Utility.
  2. From the menu bar, choose Advanced. The Advanced menu appears.
  3. From either the Printer Selection dialog or the Network Printer Configuration dialog, choose Configure. For more information, see Configuring a network printer. The Configure Network Printer dialog appears.
  4. Enter an IP address.
  5. Click OK. The IP address is set.
  6. Click Select from the Printer Selection dialog, or click Done from the Network Printer Configuration dialog.
  7. Close the Lexmark 4300 Series Utility.
