Print on coated paper

Try printing on various paper types other than plain paper. Different types of paper accept ink differently and print with slight color variations. The best way to start experimenting is with coated paper.

  1. Load coated paper.
  2. Customize the settings in the Page Setup dialog.
    1. From the software application, click File  Page Setup....
    2. From the Settings pop-up menu, choose Page Attributes.
    3. From the Format for pop-up menu, choose 6200 Series.
    4. Choose a paper size. If you want to print borderless, go to Supported paper sizes for borderless printing and copying.
    5. Select an orientation.
    6. Click OK.
  3. Customize the settings in the Print dialog.
    1. From the software application, click File  Print....
    2. From the Printer pop-up menu, choose 6200 Series.
    3. From the pop-up menu that says Copies & Pages, choose Quality & Media.
      • From the Paper Type pop-up menu, choose Coated.
      • Note: Your All-In-One has a Paper type sensor.
      • Select a print quality. Normal is the default.
      • Note: Higher print quality settings result in better quality documents but may take longer to print.
    4. Click Print.

If you are printing photos, print them one at a time to prevent smudging. Remove each photo as it exits into the Paper exit tray, and then let it dry before stacking.
