Copying photos in black and white
From the control panel
- Load paper into the paper support.
- Load an original document on the scanner glass.
- Press Mode until the Copy light comes on. From here, you can:
- Press Page Preview to view the scanned image on the control panel display.
- Press Resize to enlarge or reduce the image. Use the left (-) and right (+) arrows to choose a preset enlargement or reduction value. Press Select.
- Press Number of Copies. Use the left (-) and right (+) arrows to scroll through the numbers. Press Select.
- Press Menu to open the Copy menu. Adjust the settings as needed.
- Press Black.
From the Lexmark 4300 Series Center
- Load paper into the paper support.
- Load an original document on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark 4300 Series Center.
- Select the Copy tab, and customize the settings:
- From the Quantity & Copy Type area, choose Grayscale.
- From the Copy Quality area, select Photo.
- From the "Output Paper Type" pop-up menu, choose Standard Glossy/Photo, Lexmark Photo Paper, or Lexmark Premium Photo Paper.
- From the "Output Paper Size" and the "Original Image Size" pop-up menus, and the Resize area, choose or enter the appropriate information.
- Click Preview/Edit.
- From the Settings tab:
- Make sure your previous selections for the copy type and quality are applied.
- From the "Descreen Magazine or Newspaper" pop-up menu, choose Photo.
- Select the Adjustments tab, and customize the settings as needed.
- Select the Finishing tab, and customize the settings as needed.
- Click Copy.
