A Low Ink message appears if a print cartridge is running out of ink. The Ink Low warning occurs when your cartridges are about 25% full, 15% full, and 5% full. To monitor the amount of ink in your cartridges, see Check ink levels and other information. The cartridge level will also show on the display before the printer goes into power save mode.
