Enhancing photo print quality

Follow these basic guidelines to print high-quality photos from the All-In-One:

Enhancing photo print quality for basic printing jobs:

  1. From the software application, click File  Print.
  2. From the pop-up menu that says "Copies & Pages", choose Quality & Media.
    1. From the "Media Type" pop-up menu, select Glossy/Photo.
    2. From the Print Quality area, select Photo.

Enhancing photo print quality for scanning and copying jobs:

  1. Open the Lexmark 3300 Series Center. The Lexmark 3300 Series Center Main Page appears.
  2. If you are copying, select the Copy tab.
    1. From the Copy Quality area, select Photo.
    2. From "Output Paper Type:" menu, choose Glossy/Photo.
    3. Click Preview/Edit to fine-tune the copy settings. Go to the Copy dialog for details.
If you are scanning, select the Scan tab.
  1. From the "What is being scanned?" menu, select Photo.
  2. From the "How will the scanned image be used?" pop-up menu, choose To be printed or To be viewed on monitor/Web page. Photo scanning is optimized based on this selection.
  3. Click Preview/Edit.
  4. From the Settings tab, make sure you select one of the preset scan settings appropriate for the photo:
    • Color Photo - Print
    • Color Photo - Web
    • Black and White Photo
    • Note: Select Custom Settings to manually adjust the color depth, resolution and set a descreen option.
  5. Select the Adjustments tab and fine-tune the scan settings. Go to the Scan tab for details.
