Make borderless copies of your photos

  1. Load paper in the paper support. For a borderless copy, you must load the same size of paper as the image you want to copy. For example, if you want to make a borderless copy of a 4 x 6 inch photograph, you must also have a 4 x 6 glossy or photo card in the paper support.
  2. Load original documents on the scanner glass. Make sure the image is aligned on the scanner glass against the lower right arrow.
  3. Open the Lexmark 6200 Series Center.
  4. Select the Copy tab.
  5. From the Output Paper Type pop-up menu, choose Standard Glossy/Photo, Lexmark Everyday Glossy, or Lexmark Premium Glossy.
  6. From the Output Paper Size pop-up menu, choose the paper size corresponding to the size of the paper you have loaded in the paper support.
  7. From Zoom, set the scale value at 100% or higher.
  8. From the Original Image Type pop-up menu, choose Photo.
  9. From the Original Paper Size pop-up menu, choose the paper size that matches the paper size of your document on the scanner glass.
Note: Make sure that the image to be scanned is the same size or bigger than the desired output image. For example, if you have a 4 x 6 inch photograph on the scanner glass that you want to make a borderless copy of, you must choose 4 x 6 Card from the Original Paper Size drop-down menu.
  10. Click Copy to copy the document, or click Preview... to go to the Copy dialog for more copy options. Go to Enhance photograph print quality when copying.

Learn how to crop and resize images. Go to Crop photos using Auto-crop, Crop photos manually, and Enlarge or reduce an image from the All-In-One Center. Combine these concepts to print a variety of borderless photos out of a single old photograph.
