Configuring the print options
Note: The following instructions are commonly used for optimum cost savings.

Depending on whether the Print Server Role has been added to your server, perform the following steps.
If Printer Server Role is added

From the Windows Administrative Tools window, launch Print Management, locate the local Print Server, and expand it.

Select Printers and right‑click on the Print Release printer object.

Click the Advanced tab, and then click Printing Defaults.
If Printer Server Role is not added-
From the Control Panel window, launch Devices and Printers

Right‑click the printer icon, and then click Printer Properties

Click the Advanced tab, and then click Printing Defaults

- Click the Layout tab.

From the Print on Both Sides (Duplex) menu, select Print on both sides, and then select Long edge.
Note: Users can override this setting when printing jobs.
- Click the Paper/Finishing tab.
- From the Offset menu, select Off.
- Click the Quality tab.

Select Print in black and white.
Note: Users can override this setting when printing jobs.
- Click the Other Options tab.
- When using only a PostScript emulation print driver, select Generate PostScript in driver.
- When using computers running on a Windows 8 or Windows 8.1 operating system, from the Metafile spooling menu, select On.
- Select Apply > OK .
