Function Access

Manage user or group access to printer functions.

  1. Depending on your configuration, from the Print Management Console, do either of the following:
    • Click Function Access.

    • Click Security > Function Access.

  2. Manage the access to printer functions.
    • Filter the list by typing the keywords in the Filter field, and then clicking .

      Note: Do not use special characters or symbols.
    • Refresh the list by clicking .

    • Add, edit, or delete accesses.

    • Set the default access to printer functions.

      1. Depending on your configuration, do either of the following:

        • Click Groups > Defaults.

        • Click Users > Defaults.

      2. Select any of the following:

        • Allow Copy

        • Allow Color Copies

        • Allow only Mono Copies on Color Devices

        • Allow Email

        • Allow Fax

        • Allow Scan to Network

        • Allow Print

        • Allow Color Print

        • Allow only Mono Print on Color Devices

Allowing group access to printer functions

  1. Click on the upper‑right corner of the Print Management Console.
  2. Click Feature Options > Function Access.
  3. In the Groups menu, select Yes.
  4. Click Save Changes.
