Supporting a group Managed Service Account

Learn the requirements to support a group Managed Service Account.

Starting LDD version 5.10 and LPM version 2.16, a group Managed Service Account (gMSA) can be used to authenticate when connecting to Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory.

Note: For more information on gMSA application, see Group Managed Service Accounts overview.

During new installation or upgrade of LDD and LPM, specify the correct gMSA credential and authentication method. This feature is supported only when both LDD and LPM are configured to use gMSA, and are using Microsoft SQL Server database.
